GOURMET PICNIC & BOATRIDE TO ISLE SAINTE MARGUERITE (Lerins Islands) (May 1st to September 30th)

An ideal setting for a relaxed day out - quiet and peaceful. You will depart from the Port of Cannes by a large and comfortable boat to Isle de Sainte Marguerite packed with a basket filled with delicious food and wine. Before or after lunch you will be able to take a walk up to the 17th-century fort, which houses the Maritime Museum. The fort was once a prison that was the home to the unidentified character known as " The man in the iron mask". 

The best way to discover the islands real beauty is undoubtedly by following the sign-posted trails which will lead you to botanic and historic discoveries. You can also walk from the Batéguier pond amongst numerous migratory bird species to the Pointe de la Convention where you can find a variety of essential oils. 

At the Pointe du Dragon an observation platform, which is built on a bunker from WW II, you can enjoy beautiful views of the bay of Cannes. 

• 170 ha, of which 152 ha is state forest;

• 3200 m in length; 900 m in width;

• about twenty kilometers of paths and logging roads;

• 8 kilometers for touring the island.

What's included in your Gourmet Picnic:

Your return ticket by boat from Cannes to Isle de Sainte Marguerite, a basket stocked with delicious fresh food and a bottle of wine.

Bottled water (1 p.p.)

What is not included: Your transportation to and from Vieux Port du Cannes. Entrance fee to the museum and other historical sites on the island where fees are being charged.

Due to the limited space and weight, we are only able to bring wine and bottled water, all other beverages other than wine and bottled water are available at the kiosk at your own cost.

Bring comfortable walking shoes and for those who would like to go for a swim, don't forget your bathing suit.
